A Baby....

I know I'm not the one going to be physically having a baby, but I love my Kids, so so much. To be honest it is nice to have a break every once in a while, but the amount that I am gone from them is very hard to endure. When Les and I decided to have another Kid, we were nervous, yet felt this was the right time and so we stopped preventing anything. Basically a month after she got pregnant. We found out Thursday January 13th. I was getting ready to go to Spin class at 6am. She woke about the same time and peeded on a stick (I had no clue this was going on, I was upstairs). Still wanting sleep, Les trudged upstairs and handed me a stick of plastic. I had no clue what it was at first. First thought was, "I didn't forget anything". Then I saw it was a pregnancy test stick. Well, to be honest this was my train of thought. Looked at the device - "This is an Elisa assay - binds proteins - hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) - which would be produced during pregnancy - surge in early pregnancy - This test is positive - Oh, my wife is Pregnant." Darn You medical school. This is what when through my head in milliseconds, probably too long for an immediate reaction (sorry Les). The rest of the Day I was on cloud nine, I could hardly think of anything else. The more time that passes from that moment, the more I know this is a good thing. Not just something we felt right about, but something that we are meant to go through at this time. I was so excited, that night I searched the packed books for our Baby Name book. (This is a very serious yet fun part of the baby process for me. It takes me forever (Isaac's didn't come till just before we left the hospital) but I want to be right, it has to feel right. I have troubled Les with this for Kaylie and Isaac (see that works so well for them) and I am sorry (yet not) to say I will be the same for all our kids. It is not like this one is going to be much different or anything, but I am so looking forward to this next one. I really am so excited and have the hardest time not telling everyone. Especially since it has only been about 2 weeks. I try to be the best father, I'm not always, but there is one thing I know has never changed, I love my Kids so much and can't wait for this one to come. It really does all feel right, no matter the end. That really is what matters, that we are trying to follow our Father in Heaven's plan for us, that we are listening to what he would that we do. I love this.......
